Pick Totals for Week 3

"Going against a rookie QB on the road. What can go wrong?" [Tampa Bay] --Kirby (RIP)

This season? What can go right?

"Last chance Browns..." [Cleveland] --Hancock (RIP)

Never had a chance.

"It looks like a year to pick against the Panthers every week." [Las Vegas] --Stollak

I mean, you can't even rely on the BAD teams any more!!

"I QUIT!" [NY Giants] --Navarro

Finally a winning strategy.

What a start to the season. In Week One, 250 people took a loss when the biggest single pick in Ducey Pool history went down. But it got worse. In Week Two, 328 people took a loss, as upsets were scattered across the league. But it got worse still! This week, 420 people took a loss, with five major upsets. 85% of the picks were wrong. 6 out of every 7 picks. And lots of us have been doing this for decades. You think we'd be better at it.

With 147 people eliminated after three weeks, I guess it's time to declare an earlier Second Chance Pool this season. It is likely the season will settle down for a few weeks, so let's say Week 11. That's Sunday, November 17. If you were eliminated today, you have 8 weeks to think about what happened and come up with a way to pick a winning team.

For the rest of you, you're looking up at 6 undefeated Ducey Poolers. That's it. 6. So having one or two losses after three weeks is not as damaging as it would normally be. Just steer clear of that damn bandwagon.
